Shelly Gotman — Managing Director of Israeli Unit at Lockheed Martin

Brig. Gen. (Res.) Shelly Gotman is Founder of Negev Shelly Ltd. Brig. Gen. (Res.) Gotman serves as Managing Director of Israeli Unit at Lockheed Martin Corporation. He served as Managing Director of Information Systems & Global Solutions for Israel at Lockheed Martin Corporation since April 2014. Brig. Gen. (Res.) Gotman served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Arava Power Company Ltd. He was responsible for business development and partner agreements. With a team of economists and engineers he developed concepts of establishing a very extensive pipeline of future solar fields in the Negev region. Prior to joining Arava Power, he was a 27-year Israeli Air Force Fighter Pilot, with exceptional experience in advanced logistics, large scale financial management and infrastructure expansion. Towards the end of his extensive service in the IAF, he was made commander of the Hatzerim Air Base, which includes responsibility for the IAF Flight Academy and the most advanced operational equipment. Prior to becoming a commander, he was an active participant in a broad range of missions. In addition, he is one of the founders of the National Center for Renewable Energy located in the Hevel Eilot Regional Council. As three year Department Head of IAF Air Operations, his responsibilities ranged from concept development to creation of strategic policy. He was fighter pilot and was a Brigadier General in the Israeli Air Force. He also serves as the Chairman of the Jewish Agency's Partnership 2000 program in the Be'er Sheva B'nai Shimon Region. He received a B.A. in Philosophy from Tel Aviv University. He has an M.A. in Strategy and National Resources Management from the National Defense University and was hand selected by IDF Chief of Staff to attend the program with full scholarship.
