What's the work from home policy like at Lurn?
This is something I do love, there is zero micromanaging, which really is a pet peeve of mine. I believe we all strive to do our best and it shows.
Most of the engineering team is remote
What are the most important soft skills to be successful at Lurn?
It is so much easier to communicate when people can see and read you, the pandemic took that away from us for a while. I would say that it is a lot more difficult getting noticed so one skill that is imperative is being able to work hard and then showing what makes you a contributor or asset to the company without coming across as arrogant, it's a very fine line and a great skill to have.

I have yet to use it but it seems like a good plan. Standard coverage.
What kind of people does Lurn like to hire?
This is one of the things I love about Lurn, they love to hire a diverse group, we all are scattered from all parts of the globe and come together to share ideas and interests. It is very refreshing to hear other perspectives and opinions. Love the diversity!

Tell me about yourself... What type of Customer Support have you done in the past? Tell me of a difficult situation you had with a customer and how you turned it around. Basic interview questions.
What is the company mobility like at Lurn?
I haven't seen any signs nor heard too much about people moving up in the company, all the openings I have seen have been those hired from outside the company.
How are the dental insurance options at Lurn?
Not bad, covers all preventative and 50% major work which is great coverage.
What is the best advice you could give someone during their first month at Lurn?
Don't be afraid to ask questions and don't be hard on yourself, we were all new once.
How helpful was your Customer Support team when you were first hired at Lurn?
It was challenging, but the job itself is pretty easy so it wasn't difficult getting up to speed.

I started during covid and since I am a remote working we haven't had any activities, except for trainings outside of work.
