Madison Area Technical College (Madison College) is a public technical and community college based in Madison, Wisconsin. It serves students in parts of 12 counties in south-central Wisconsin: Adams, Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Juneau, Marquette, Richland, Rock, and Sauk.

The work environment is disjointed. There is little connectional time partly due to WFH and off campus work with students. This has decreased teamwork and the ability to reach out in the moment.

What do you like best about the leadership team?
There is a feeling of a one lump sum mentality. We are not valued for what we bring to the table, the expertise we have gained through the years and multiple things we take on outside of our required work contract.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My compensation is a one lump sum. My salary has decreased over the last 3 years when considering COLA and not receiving any increase in salary. My time, talent and what I bring to the table is not considered in the faculty compensation.
