What are some of the best things about your team?

It's great to work in a market space that serves people's passions, and the team members & individual contributors are very frequently passionate about the same interests.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The leadership team needs to develop some humility and realize they are where they are by the graces of a billionaire, not because they're good at leading a company of this size.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

MakeMusic and its parent company engage in a clear practice of treating individual contributors in a disposable manner, despite having trouble filling those roles (roles are often open for 6-8 months or more)

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Not sure that the upper (Peaksware) leadership team understands that they need to focus a little harder on doing things to retain employees. Compensation, employee development and career paths are not things that exist here, particularly for engineering.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Decisions on where to focus effort don't seem to be tied to any market insights or data. Upper management does not seem to be held responsible for making (ultimately incorrect) guesses on where to focus effort. Individual contributors and groups are routinely asked to make superhuman efforts to fix.
