McGraw Hill Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Respect I receive and engagement in operational matters.

Supportive and affable, but not particularly competent or upskilled.

very compassionate and caring individuals.

Relatable and approachable leadership committed to expanding the mission globally.

Genuinely interested in good work/ life balance

Big period of growth. They have the tools they need to grow.

They are supportive and give great feedback.

They are doing a decent job

I'm just coming from a previous role so unsure on new leadership. Previous leadership was seriously lacking.

They are encouraging and balance out work/life expectations

Friendly and excited about company initiatives.

Easy to work with and very responsive to employee needs.

They are flexibility and understanding with real life problems and situations

They listen, have great idea and are acidly working to make things better

Review from Marketing Dept

They listen!!! They REALLY listen! They are committed to providing the best educational experience for teachers and students! When issues arise, they don't make excuses or give insincere responses - they actively try to make things better! The support through Covid has been amazing for employees!

They are always thinking about their employees - diversity, free "chill out" days, promoting women in leadership, flexibility with working from home, just to name a few.

Our leadership team in incredible approachable, from my manager all the way up to our CEO. Everyone at the executive level is open and willing to sit down and share advice.

Review from Sales Dept

There is transparency from the leadership team. They have meetings to share ideas and numbers.

I like how my VP gives me a lot of white space to be creative in my role, and he trusts my judgment. I know I can count on him to hear my ideas and advocate for doing the right thing by our customers.

Open door policy and how they truly listen to all the feedback from the bottom up

Review from Customer Support Dept

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The leadership team needs to learn to treat its employees with respect and stop playing games to demoralize and break down team members.

Strategy and synergy. We dont have a plan. We're just operating business as usual from the 90s expecting it to work. It doesnt.

Hire more people from outside with real world experience in education

Learn to understand the needs of Employees first. Do not ever forget that past employees have contributed something to you. They may not be the best to fulfill your ego but you dont need to disrespect them. Take anonymous surveys from your employees.

Stop promoting favorites and start promoting on merit alone.

keeping their talent. They currently don't care about keeping good people.
