very supportive, understanding knowledgeable transparent
Varies greatly. about 50% of leadership team actually cares about the patients.
We can speak openly and freely about our issues and concerns.
They dress professionally and they look nice.
They truly seem to care about our associates
Team leader needs to listen and help
Treatment of employees, with dignity
No one listens to what the staff are saying to the fix problems. Hire more staff so that we don't go home exhausted and aching. Show more appreciation for how difficult it is for staff to stay a float everyday.
They need to be less arrogant, and be more supportive of change.
Communication and workplace diversity. Treating others with kindness

Shift differential & great benefits package
I am truly impressed that i teceive a fair wage. But for me the care Medstar takes to ensure long/short term disability is covered. Health care is affordable and still covers neccesary health care needs. It is evident by taking care of the rmployees, the patients will benefit.
Base plus incentive is very competitive
The benefit package as a whole is very good.

YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO GROW AND TAKE ON MORE RESPONSIBILITIES. THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL BE REWARDED, PROMOTED OR COMPENSATED FOR YOUR EFFORTS
My annual salary is about half of the median salary for my position in this field, while also doing the work of 2 jobs (averaging about 60+ hours/week).
We are not getting a pay raise this year and we've been through hell. You can't pay us but you can hire more doctors.
Salary and compensation of sr leaders are inconsistent and not transparent
fast food workers make more than me

Meeting are designed to inform but sldo to connect. We have a wide range of meetings for one subject or another, however there is always a clear take away that builds our team or allows our team to perform better
Good place to stay and work
They are competent and caring.
People who care deeply about their work and the mission
Good people, funny, helpful, hard-working
I WORK WITH THE BEST TEAM. THEY HELP EACH OTHER SUCCEED AND GROW.
Management needs to set an example
My coworkers are great but we are stressed and overwhelmed. Why do the doctors have 89 patients on the schedule? That's just one doctor and not counting the other four that are there. We don't have meetings. I can't remember the last time we did.
Integration of diverse perspectives and prioritization of strategic goals
Learn how to communicate and not talk behind each others backs

TEAMWORK IS WHAT HOLDS SUPPORT SERVICES TOGETHER. PATIENT FIRST ALWAYS
Available tools for job duty
We are eager to help each other
Our commitment to our patients and our culture of safety and high reliability
The staff understands we have a job to do and we do it. We are a family.
More room for advancement for everyone including long term employees.
Yearly pay increases for everyone. More autonomy for providers.
They could start by fixing their falsies operating system and stop blaming the nurses and other staff members who are trying their best to work around a bad system.
Senior leadership only cares about the bottom line, they have zero empathy or compassion which is sort of odd for a major health care operator.
Remove hierarchical corporate culture and value loyalty
Being heard and being bolstered to grow, learn and co tribute my talent to MedStar.
EASE OF COMMUNICATION WITH THE INTERVIEWER
Interview process fairly short and to the point. Lots of steps once you get hired.
Nice people that interview you
Life Bridge has a more streamlined interview and orientation process then MedStar.

There is always someone who may have a different view. And of course thats their right. But i feel that most of the coworkers I speak to feel they sre in the right place. Happy to serve together in so many different capacities, being MedStar Proud!
THE RESPECT TEAM MEMBERS HAVE FOR EACH OTHER
Building connections with my colleagues and the communities we serve.
Solving problems and working as a team
Most of my coworkers are experienced, very knowledgeable and don't mind sharing their knowledge with newer employees.
Replace management who realize employees are their best asset rather than pawns.
I am burnt out from a traumatic boss in the past and not having good boundaries
Value multiple views, hire sr leaders who have previously led in a healthcare system. Acknowledge and address the perpetual corporate bureaucracy that impacts trust.
More staffing to handle workload
