High stress without adequate compensation. Inpatient population very high acuity, front line staff lacks support with persistently inadequate staffing. Administration doesn't seem to notice or care. Many materials/systems at main hospital are outdated. Clearly not where money is spent.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Showing staff that they are appreciated. No hazard pay or incentive OT bonus when staff is critically short. Unwillingness to increase pay/benefits or address compassion fatigue/burnout among staff
