Mercy Hospital Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The most positive is the people that we work with and support of our manager.

They try to have good public image

Review from Customer Support Dept

Hard to say right now

The Caring Staff. The Management is somewhat suspect.

every one commute helping each other when needed help

positive mix culture more woman than mans

Compassion, drive to do the best for our patients. We are a tram and everyone pitches in from the top to the bottom

the History of where Mercy came from

Review from Operations Dept

The ability to work with great people

Review from Operations Dept

I think most co workers care about the job

The coworkers and the hours

sometimes glimpses of continuity and cooperation, brief coming together moments.

Everyone helps each other and truly wants to do that. We all feel like family and want only the best for one another. There is something special that I just do not feel elsewhere and if you do not have it, you will not last long.

Review from Admin Dept

Actually helping people get healthier

Review from Operations Dept

Coworker's help each other for the most part and work as a team

Review from Operations Dept

Coworkers, the ability to have connections with others experiencing the same work stress

Review from Operations Dept

Nothing to be honest with you

Review from Operations Dept

most nurses are there because they want to be; we care about our patients, and do our best to make sure they are safe and cared for properly

Review from Customer Support Dept

People are always happy and there to help

It is a very religious hospital.

Review from Operations Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Adequate staffing, improved communication, and not through management

Diversity, and team building. Instead of running to put a coworker down help them. This is a catholic hospital and my coworkers cuss like sailors.

Revamp leadership to executives with integrity

Better pay/benefits. Better training. Management needs training. More focus on patient care and less on collecting money.

Review from HR Dept

Better management who actually knows whats going on.

quit making policy change that affects the staff without staff input.

Review from Operations Dept

Better staff to patient ratio nurses should have no more than 5 patients and tech no more 6 or 7 patients

I know I dont have all the answers and sometimes I'm wrong. But if we focused on rewarding people who put in real work and stopped praising everyone who showed up and did their job maybe I would see some of the people around me take pride in going above and beyond for their company.

Get rid of all of the current leadership that doesnt have a specific back ground in their sector e.g. IT director that was an IT tech, not a sales person

Absolutely no mandatory vaccine, thanks.

Be less profit focused. Less cost conscious about hiring adequate nursing staff and qualified nurse aids. Company culture is to dump too many high acuity patients on nurses.

Review from Operations Dept

listening to staff and physicians. Hiring better quality staff and adequate staff

Review from Customer Support Dept

Most employees here have an ego, especially doctors & secretaries because they associate themselves with the doctors.

Review from HR Dept

Hire more staff and staff

Review from Operations Dept

More perks at employee appreciation meetings

Review from Admin Dept

clean and very updated. Need to decorate for the holidays

Review from Admin Dept

They only thing I would love to change is increasing tuition reimbursement and increase the pay.

Review from Admin Dept

More staffing to take the stress off!

Review from Customer Support Dept

Employees need to be valued & respected.

Review from Operations Dept

Listen. Be respectful of each person and the contribution they make. Ne transparent and make expectations clear.
