Mercy Hospital Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They genuinely listen and want you to be happy at mercy for a long time

Wonderful people who listen and treat you with respect.

They're open to hearing what the employees have to say

Helping the team out when needed

Not sure about them yet. It seems a bit off ministry for a non-profit hospital to compensate c-suite employees with more than 500k, especially millions.

Commitment and compassion for employers

They arw great people to work with

Nothing comes to mind. In it for the money.

They try to help as much as they can

Genuinely invested in coworker satisfaction, transparent about division/company goals, makes me feel included in decisions.

approachable, dedicated, they could only do what Ministry would let them do

Review from Operations Dept

Not much since they don't listen to staff only lip service

I think they are good people.

Ever changing to improve quality of experince

Review from Operations Dept

The immediate supervisor is amazing. They will fall on the sword so to speak to make sure that the staff is safe. That being said, the upper management and leadership are abysmal. None of them are actually qualified for the sector that they are in, and they are making changes that HURT the company.

Open to new ideas, willingness to change, desire to do what is best for the common good, which includes the company and community.

Review from Admin Dept

The leadership always takes your concerns into account

Review from Operations Dept

we work as a team

Review from Operations Dept

Open door policy, always nice and approachable.

Review from Customer Support Dept

People did help you with most things that you were a hard time with. Also many of the people were friendly so that was something nice.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Communication Direct communication from the administration to hospital department employees. Vague wording via managers deliberately reflects a lack of care.

Initiate direct communication with hospital employees. If hospital departments are measured on productivity, then administration must share their productivity objectively. Non-clinical administration should not outnumber clinical administration.

Everything they are awful they use you until your wore out and then fire you

Communicate better with their employees

Review from Customer Support Dept

communication and transparency, being honest and fair to all

Review from Operations Dept

communication and transparency would be a welcome addition

Review from Operations Dept

Teamwork and less bosses that are employees

Addressing co worker complaints and not just paying lip service to our mission

Standing up for us to the upper management that is out of touch with hands on staff.

Everything communication be off & sometimes they act as if you bother them.

Leadership leads from afar with no concept of day to day ops

Review from Operations Dept

Increase nursing staff to a ration of no more than 5 patients to 1 nurse... if the patients are average acuity. The ratio should be lower if acuity is higher.

Review from Operations Dept

Listening to their employees and physicians

Review from Customer Support Dept

Distribution of finances and care for their employees

Review from Operations Dept

Too many MGMT meetings. Need to be more available. Need to find ways to lower expenses and find ways to encourage staff. Need to find ways to stop firing and eliminating positions.

Review from Admin Dept

Need better and more honest communication between upper leadership and physicians/managers/co-workers. Too much of a "boys club" in senior leadership

Review from Admin Dept

Work on a no bully policy

Review from Operations Dept

Properly spending money & putting it where it needs to be, they've recently let go 400+ employees just to continue saving money when they're already bleeding people dry.

Review from HR Dept

The leadership team should put the customer back on top as the sisters of mercy intended instead of billing them to death.

respecting their employees and appreciating the fact they could go wherever they wanted.
