Executive Bio
Mr. John S. Zieser, Esq. has been General Counsel and Secretary at Meredith Corporation since January 1999 and has been its Chief Development Officer since 2006. Mr. Zieser is responsible for managing Meredith Corp's business development function, as well as legal affairs, human resources, corporate communications and government relations. He joined Meredith in January 1999. Mr. Zieser served as Vice President of Corporate Development for Meredith Corp. from May 25, 2004 to 2006 and served as its Vice President for Corporate and Employee Services from 2002 to 2004. Mr. Zieser served as group President of First Data Merchant Services Corporation, a division of First Data Corporation (FDC). He joined FDC in 1993 as legal counsel and served as its Associate General Counsel. Prior to FDC, Mr. Zieser spent several years at Sullivan & Cromwell, where he worked on a wide-range of transactions both in the U.S. and internationally. He serves as a Director of The Hyperfactory, Real Girls Media and Next Issue Media LLC. He was a Senior Editor of the Law Review. Mr. Zieser earned his Law Degree from Cornell University, Graduating magna cum laude. Mr. Zieser earned both an M.B.A. and a Bachelor's of Business Administration Degree from the University of Iowa.
