Ministry Brands Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

It feels casual but work is getting done. Team celebrations and culture club events are great.

We do a lot of potlucks which I feel brings us together not just as co workers but as friends

our manager is super fun, caring and full of knowledge, she blends in perfect with our upbeat team.

The inclusiveness and energy on the floor.

WE DO PUZZLES THAT BRING EVERYONE FROM EVERY DEPT TOGETHER AND THE WORK EVENTS ARE FUN

Everyone feels welcome and included in the Culture Club events.

MB really cares about their employee engagement. When I was first onboarded, there was a followup meeting with a group of newbies to get their feedback. I've never had that opportunity and it was a good show of positive re-enforcement of MB's care

I wouldn't say there is much positivity lately. Every time something good is happening it just stops with no communication as to why from upper management.

Attitude toward each other is great. One big family.

People are kind and help one another

Inclusiveness for teams across the board; involvement and the chance to lead with ideas and concepts.

Everyone is nice and communicative.

Review from Marketing Dept

The environment is light hearted.

It's mostly focused on the people. It seems like we've had a lot of cuts to culture club events, and everyone is wondering if we will be able to do a Christmas party this year or not. It seems like other departments get invested in far more than our department.

It use to be that MB was inclusive but after recent interactions with other departments I'm starting to question that.

the culture club events and activities

We do things together and learn from one another.

I love the events planned by culture club and my team is amazing

My Manager (Director) helps me improve my skills.

Staying up to date on events in our area.

Review from Admin Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Honest communication Better benefits HR having our back. Salary increases in line with cost of living

i feel like it would be nice to allow more people to get to work from home. or at least give everyone the opportunity to work split remote/office.

Review from Product Dept

Show actual effective change with the products that are offered and the structure of the organization.

Review from Product Dept

Change the focus from making a profit to listening to our clients, and work towards a stable platform for them instead. Then the profits will come. Provide communication when something is fixed, including direction on how to navigate the change. Provide training not Q/As sessions

The attitude of my manager to those they interact with.

Decision making from leadership needs to be more in touch with the customers and the MB team

Review from Customer Success Dept

Communication Honesty Not taking away our time off Not taking away other benefits

Review from Product Dept

Hire more Support team members and actually train the Support team. This is ridiculous. Short-staffing is causing slowdowns and unneccesary stress.

Review from Product Dept

More resources put toward employee benefits so that we can compete with leading software companies.

Review from Marketing Dept

Invest in employees, promote them within, stop politics !!

Review from Finance Dept

People need to know they are valued and training needs improvement.

Review from IT Dept

Fewer meetings, more focus on delighting and surprising our customers in support of their ministries. We've spend years focused on cross-sale and it hasn't yielded the expected windfall.

Review from IT Dept

From the top down it is apparent that the executives have no idea what goes into our job, and that they don't respect the employees as people. Change comes from the top down.

Review from Product Dept

Pay employees what they are worth

Review from Operations Dept

Need to have work life balance with few projects. Reasonable expectations to achieve goals.

Review from Finance Dept

Less red tape. Empower managers. Fewer meetings. Improved focus on quality and customer need vs bookings and cross-sale. Changing our name and diluting our brands will not change our reputation in the marketplace and isn't a winning long-term strategy.

Review from IT Dept

More fun activities for employees.

Review from Operations Dept

Implementing some sort of company wide system to share positive client feedback and success stories. Also, more coordinated efforts to create a unified remote culture. Ex: coordinating mixers via Zoom, encouraging interest-specific Teams chats (gaming, pets, hiking, etc), Zoom trivia events, etc.

Review from Operations Dept

Increase compensation to wages that reflect current economic trends. Some employees seem to have been given second or third roles/jobs without compensating them for it or are held to unrealistic measures/goals/standards.
