If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Minted?

Engineering leadership would stop lying to management and blaming the engineers. They hire skilled engineers and then treat them as idiots and give them impossible tasks and blame them
The operations side of the company is very much underpaid and it drags the morale down.

Wedding or custom greeting cards. Just depends. But maybe art will be fastest growing next week. But the technical debt is growing faster
What's the company culture like at Minted?
Very risk adverse with lots of technical debt. Engineering leadership lies to management and then blames the junior engineers for their mistakes. The official code standards are gold silver and bronze. The shipping code is mostly labeled tin or lead. Nobody measures engineering velocity so it is what engineering management talks a lot about. As soon as there are solid metrics they will move on to their next type of ass covering. Outside consultants will solve problems you don't have and introduces new problems that hurt your productivity (protobuf glued into old code. Have fun with that unsupported combination)
What's going wrong and how can it be improved at Minted?
Too much work load has made going into the office very painful lately. Hopefully it will pass.

Everyone has an "in it together" attitude and is willing to help out on projects that were not strictly their's to help the team.
