If i were to be appreciated and able to move up in the company

Track performance and adjust accordingly. Pay attention to employees and who does what, who is valuable and who needs to improve.

The leadership team cannot understand that when the people reporting to them are better compensated, there is less of a push to want to leave, or, feel undervalued.
