Nav Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Competitive pay, equity component, Pick your perk

Review from Finance Dept

A health plan with an HSA, multiple options for everything.

Review from Engineering Dept

The level card is honestly my fav perk

Review from Engineering Dept

The salary is the most important part.

Review from Engineering Dept

The company provided market rate pay.

Review from Marketing Dept

health benefits are absolutely critical to me

Review from Sales Dept

There is no cap on our commission.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel good about my base salary and bonus. I believe their is a ton of upside in my equity.

Review from Executive Dept

The focus on fair pay

Review from Marketing Dept

we have so many options

Review from Engineering Dept

The Level Card really makes me happy

I like our "pick your perks" compensation with the prepaid card that has money for approved categories that allows us to use it in those areas for what we like. Provides a lot of value and options for us.

Review from Engineering Dept

Nav provides us with a competitive salary

Review from Sales Dept

I like everything about it, except that the health plan cost is dependent upon covid vaccination. I don't like it when insurance coverage depends upon specific procedures or illnesses; to even select a plan you have to disclose personal medical information. It defeats the whole point of a group plan

Review from Engineering Dept

not having to clock in & out

Review from Sales Dept

The Epic simply because its a team effort and folks in other departments are just as invested and wanting to hit company goals, so we can all benefit from this.

Review from Sales Dept

I love the unlimited PTO

Review from Engineering Dept

My salary and the level card. I think that's a really interesting way to give people the power to design their own benefits.

Review from Engineering Dept

The level card comes in handy a lot

Review from Marketing Dept

All of the benefits combined make me feel very privileged. In addition to medical/dental/401k, they also provide other things like pick you perk, calm app subscription, masterclass subscription, as well as the surprise gifts they send. The icing on the cake for me is the new bonus program offered.

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Our salaries do not meet comps.

I took a pay cut to come to Nav and was told that I could expect to be moved to a comparable level within a year. However, none of this was conveyed to my manager, who was hired the same time I was. I feel like I was promised something that I can't enforce.

Review from Marketing Dept

I am doing a lot more work than the other co worker with same title and getting the bigger and harder workload. I am asked to know ALL the insights and my coworker can barely put a summary together. I should move up and get paid more since I am doing much more and have more knowledge

Review from Sales Dept

I feel like there is a distinct line between my team and the rest of Nav. I often feel like I have to make sure the company is my #1 priority

Review from Customer Support Dept

More inclusive insurance and pay raises across the board due to inflation.

Review from Engineering Dept

Hiring for roles that I have absorbed with people exiting Nav

Review from Marketing Dept

The EPIC (bonus) is considered as part of your overall comp, but if we do not (or expect to pay) pay that out at 100% there needs to be more transparency for the negotiation process. Especially if you are new and had no input to the targets that were created to the bonus payout.

My commission is low for industry standard, especially in relation to the Sr role.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel I am currently underpaid based on the work that I do and the results that I drive. I understand the compensation Rubric. Saying that, I do believe some positions of leadership (revenue driven) should be compensated a bit differently is my feedback.

Review from Sales Dept

Compensation aligned with requirements of the roles corporate wide responsibilities, breathe, scope, and depth.

Comparing my contributions towards improving Nav's bottom line, to other individuals at my same level I am not compensated fairly. Or... others may be compensated too much.

Review from Engineering Dept

The cost of living is so high. I feel that a rate increase would help retain employees. I do feel that the benefits help a lot in many ways I just think that it can be hard to make ends meet at this pay rate. I took a pay cut to be here and I feel like this is where I am meant to be, I love NAV!

Review from Customer Support Dept

I used to have a higher salary (base, bonus and equity), so my current compensation feels a little bit like I'd settled for less. But, honestly, I can't complain!

Review from Marketing Dept

I think my level of contribution is not matched by my current compensation, compared to similar roles in the market.

Review from Marketing Dept

I mostly worry that I'm paying a 'loyalty tax' by staying with Nav (new job seekers often get big bumps in pay, when established employees only see marginal raises). I think Nav's pay scale is clear and well thought out, I just wouldn't want to be loosing out by staying here.

Review from Engineering Dept

I regularly get offers for $300K base pay as someone with 10 years of experience in tech.

Review from Product Dept

People on my team are asked to step up and take on roles above their pay-grade instead of creating a new position to fill the need and allow growth.

I have seen other job postings that do less work than I do currently and they receive more pay

Review from Customer Support Dept

I was told I would be promoted 6 months ago, I'm still working at this higher level, yet I'm still waiting. I've been told I'll be receiving back pay, but for only 3 of the last 6 months. I'm still here because I value Nav, but this experience has been disheartening.

Review from Engineering Dept

I do not feel undervalued but I do believe many employees could be paid more elsewhere. Nav should continue to reinvest in current employees to help with retention.
