Lately (post pandemic) have been diligent in gathering and hearing feedback even if uncomfortable.
I guess one good thing is that the leadership team (minus the CEO) has been forced to take on additional roles without the additional pay. And if they refuse, they are fired. So they are good at doing their job plus others since they have no other choice to make unless they want to be unemployed.
Listening to feedback from employees. Prioritizing keeping existing talent.
I like that we have bonus options; I would like a larger piece.
I am valued based on how much revenue I can make the company. Our pay has gotten slightly better. They tried to increase our pay because of losing so many good staff. Our merit wages are not based on the cost of living increase but rather how much money is left in the budget. True story.
Compensation could be improved by a base cost of living increase for all employees on a yearly basis. Salaries for promotion opportunities could be negotiable.
They fun we get to have as a team. Most coworkers are amazing and management does a great job picking (when they can pick, sometimes it is just "here are the people Nelson choose so you can only pick from this pile"). And later they have been good about pruning the weeds that hurt the team.
Our teams work together and try to have fun together when possible.

I think everyone realizes the very important role we have in health, and testing products for safety. it creates a serious atmosphere.
The most positive about the culture and environment... hmm... the culture went downhill when the old CEO/president stepped down. Like badly. They did get us free churros. That was good.

It was very organized and I didn't feel like any parts were a waste of time. Clear with salary ranges upfront.
They changed the interview process a bit since my time but it was a good process. They didn't give me much time to get a background check and urine test done. They called me on a Thursday saying they wanted to hire me and want me to start on that Monday but I needed those done first. Not much time

I enjoy doing meaningful work, and feeling like my contributions matter. There are a lot of opportunities to grow my lab skills, if I want.
Being able to help our customers and being able to interact with my coworkers. Having my hard work appreciated.
