Avoid cliquey behavior when new folks join the team. Culture is lived, not just a forwarded memo. Don't weaponize it against new recruits. Above all, listen every once in a while.

Don't purposely create problems, only provide feedback that is constructive to your employees. Was told feedback is not provided unless specifically requested, but that is essential to having a strong, productive team. Don't lie or be dishonest, don't project your insecurities onto others.
