  • How about a know con artist being hired at the Nissan location in Irving Texas being able to get past your background check but was recently released from parole in 2018?

  • Yes, there is a drug test and a background check that goes about 7 years back. So if you had an arrest for something drug related or vehicle related dating farther than 7 years you may get passed that check point. As for the random drug screening, you are on your own.

  • I was interviewed by the Service Manager as I was applying for a service position. I would say I was called that same afternoon given my 24 hr. notice to supply a urinalysis sample at a given location.

  • My interview was with Chad and then Andrew. They told me on the spot I was hired.

  • Not very long. If they like you the longer the better. They want to know where they could put you and how long you will invest with them. If it’s short, it doesn’t necessarily mean “bad”, just means that it could only be one area open and you fit or don’t.

  • Again depending on what position you are seeking. I always say dress the part. If you’re going for sales, look sharp and trustworthy. Service technician, clean and presentable, but not afraid to get his hands dirty.

  • Depending on what position you are placed in it could vary. But, I must say this, the shop foreman who does the scheduling will work with you and give you an opportunity to give some type of feedback where warranted.

  • Sparingly.... is the word I would use. There have been some things I’ve seen that were definitely handled wrongly. I can’t say for certain that it was HR’s call or inside shop management, but definitely some issues need to be looked into better and with a proper laid out system.
