Northrop Grumman Corporation Outlook Employee Reviews

What makes you most happy at work?

Walking out the door each day to go home.

Review from Engineering Dept

Working from home without monitoring devices and needing to have your camera on all the time. If you get your work done with the amount of time they provided. There are no issues. The company trusts their employees to be professional and I appreciate that.

Being able to get the work done for the day efficiently.

When people trust each other and we are executing consistently and accomplishing our goals

we play ping pong on free hours

Feeling that I contribute to project executions.

Staying busy, but not overly busy where I'm stressed.

Getting my job done with no interruptions.

The mission and shared outcomes

Being respected and challenged to achieve more. I am treated as a trusted Subject Matter Expert

Review from Engineering Dept

Currently the specific program I'm working. It's a wonderful program with a critical mission.

Review from Engineering Dept

Work life balance is great

Flexible hours, work at my own pace. Responsibility and opportunities

The people, job satisfaction, and feeling like im part of a team.

Working with my team and knowing that we are truly making a difference.

I feel needed and used for my technical understanding and skills

The ability to do work I enjoy, every day.

Having the freedom to do my job without being micromanaged

Great viable mission providing essential service

solving problems of varying difficulty and complexity

Review from IT Dept

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

No stability in leadership, no clear path for the future, all based from poor communication

Not addressing the salary or issues that are preventing us from doing our job and then not giving feedback about what is being done

Everything is wrong. Anyhow it seems China will be formidable for them

Developers need more direct contact with both the customers and the end users of our products.

good communication would be nice and a general pass-down would be good.

Review from Engineering Dept

currently there are concerns about future work.

Review from Engineering Dept

Again, there is no diversity. It's uncomfortable in my skin when there are no black people or people of color who work in the same environment as you. There are no diverse managers so it is very uncomfortable.

Review from Business Development Dept

Management is disconnected from the employees and what it takes to do the jobs required of them. It can be improved by management listening to feedback or being open to feed back from employees.

Review from Engineering Dept

being rewarded for my good work, and allowing me to grow in the company

Review from Operations Dept

Promises are made but are not exercised. Do not make promises that aren't intended to be.

Boring work, and the leadership team refuses to invest in more interesting R&D

Review from Engineering Dept

The bureaucracy like IT and procurement, and outdated work culture is really demotivating

Review from Engineering Dept

What do you like best about your company?

The cool tech they produce for the government.

Review from IT Dept

What would you most like to see improved at your company?

Culture is very old, Needs to modernize

Review from Engineering Dept
