Out of 5649 Northside Hospital employee reviews, 91% were positive. The remaining 9% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping Northside Hospital improve their work culture. The Finance team, with 96% positive reviews, reports the best experience at Northside Hospital compared to all other departments at the company. The Communications team offered the most constructive feedback, with 14% of that department's reviews constructive in nature.
The leadership team needs significant improvement in professionalism, communication, and fairness. Leaders are often overheard speaking negatively about staff, which damages morale and creates a toxic environment. The annual competency process is vague, ambiguous, and challenging to complete.
Review from Nursing Dept
Communication. Communication is what drives EVERY relationship - personal and professional. Being 100% transparent at all times is a true characteristic as well. It's a motivating factor that drives satisfaction. look forward to honesty, transparency, and communication in every area of my workplace

Listen, I have worked at multiple Northside hospitals (Main) my current one's executive team is MIA, never seen. It doesn't make you feel more than a number.
Review from Nursing Dept
Communication skills and showing respect to their team members. Improving technology to best practices so the team is able to meet departmental KPI's. Stop micromanaging team members and leaders below them. Educate our staff in revenue cycle. Staff need to understand the why to perform!
Review from Customer Support Dept
Leadership needs to foster a culture of mutual respect and professionalism. when a manager talks to employees like they're children, it creates a toxic and demoralizing work environment. To improve this situation, management should provide managers with communication training

New associate, long term associate, great worker, poor worker, knowledgeable and non knowledgeable workers are compensated monetarily on at the same rate (very little difference in compensation amount). Compensate on a merit system and productivity will rise!!!!!!!!
Review from Customer Support Dept
I could not live by myself on my income.
Review from Customer Support Dept
I feel based on my years of experiences I am paid below market value
Review from Allied Health Dept
If the pay was comparable to what other hospitals pay.
Review from Customer Support Dept
With over 20 years of experience in the same specialty. I've developed deep expertise, strong relationships, and consistent record of contributing to the NS organization's success. I feel that my compensation does not fully reflect my level of experience and the market value for my role.
Review from General Practice Dept
Coworker issues often stem from leadership's lack of professionalism, favoritism, and cultural bias. A more inclusive, respectful environment with fair treatment for all would improve team cohesion and trust
Review from Nursing Dept
Work together more collaboratively as a department
Review from Customer Support Dept
Some of my coworkers are not approachable and do not speak.
Review from HR Dept
They are very judgmental; they do not care nor wish to understand that this job is not your life. The week i started in this department, they judged me and assumed what they wanted and have not been kind or respectful ever since.
Review from HR Dept
if everyone communicated more effectively.
To improve company culture, leadership must eliminate favoritism, address cultural bias, and model professionalism. Staff need to be treated with respect and fairness, not based on personal connections. Transparency and accountability are long overdue.
Review from Nursing Dept
As stated before, COMMUNICATION. Management 100% transparent, honest, always approachable, consistent, and fair. A culture of consistency will increase, boost morale, and retain the best candidates to take the organization forward.
Review from Admin Dept
New management would make this better
Review from Admin Dept
Allow employees to do their job effectively.
Review from HR Dept
The director of the department needs to be let go! This is a very nice position, but the director has ruined the department. Everyone fears her and hates her at the same time. half of the team is looking for a new position. no one respects her. She is a dictator, you cannot have a voice or opinion.
Review from HR Dept
Better communication with hr representatives
Review from Operations Dept
the uncertainty o8f having a job and the l6ack of transparency. There is very little communication, and my position seem to8 get the very least amount of respect or value. I have mo8re knowledge and skill than what I am able to use or present. There is NO MORALE. There is a lack of "development".
Review from Admin Dept
Not sure what exactly is going wrong but Northside can do some updating with policies and procedures.
Again, security, true efforts for retention, new protocols should be based on evidence rather than making nurses chart more. The Georgia maternal mortality rate is not because nurses are not charting q 15minutes.
Review from Nursing Dept
Nothing really, physicians can be rude at times
Review from Nursing Dept
Somedays we are short handed and need more staffing
Review from Allied Health Dept
Nothing Northside is amazing on all fronts
Review from Executive Dept
the pay and the insurance
Review from Operations Dept
important information being relayed in a timely fashion
