Equitable pay across the whole organization
Determining need vs want. Value the people doing the work, not the talking heads managing up.
I would feel more valued if pay is more evenly distributed and not kept at starvation wages like a for-profit.
Going through more DEIA training
Use email for its original intent - don't schedule a meeting for everything.
Value and reward employees. Stripping employees of merit increases for the most productive year of our history was demoralizing and demotivating.
They need to slow down on the "Initiatives" we are getting over our skis on technology and "innovation". We need to plan further ahead. We can't do 2 years of work in 6 months.
From initial screening to first day took over 3 months. I almost removed myself from the candidate pool because of the poor experience.
The company can use a more equitable pay model. Some teams just aren't paid enough and the whole team suffers because of it.
Improved diversity, but they've made a commitment to hiring remote staff to achieve that, which is what it takes when you're based in Portland.
