Base salary review twice a year
Review from Engineering Dept
It's really rare to get to work at a company that offers both options and RRSP matching.
Review from Engineering Dept
Honestly the healthcare coverage is incredible. So much of my family's premium is covered.
Personal/Professional stipend allowing me to decide on where to spend this.
Review from Sales Dept
Base + Equity, and frequent review and promotion cycles

Salary + health & wellness benefits
Review from Marketing Dept
My stock options are the best part of my compensation
Review from Engineering Dept
Salary is competitive. 401k match increased. Health and wellness perks are amazing!
Review from Marketing Dept
not much - seems unachievable - only 2 reps hit quota last year and they went up a good amount.
Review from Sales Dept
Very solid pay, flexible outlook on PTO and remote working. Assembly is great
Review from Customer Success Dept
Flexible schedule and ability to work 100% remote.
Review from Customer Success Dept
Competitive pay, generally good benefits, unlimited PTO, nice "feel-good" perks like Assembly (please don't ever take this away)
Review from Engineering Dept
Fairly high and competitive base compensation for a startup of this size.
Review from Product Dept
Base Salary is the best perk.
Review from Customer Support Dept
$150 assembly credit and great compensation
Review from Engineering Dept
401k match at 3%, great expensemeng policy.
401K match, good health care, support for personal and professional development. Vacation policy
Review from Marketing Dept
personal and professional development stipends
Review from Sales Dept
Salary is significantly higher than what I made at my last job at a more prestigious company.
I’m happy with everything that I have been offer
Review from Marketing Dept
They believe in geography pay but if you move somewhere in a higher tier than when you started your pay doesnt change.
Review from HR Dept
I was expecting a raise when I switched into PM. I think it's fine that I didn't get one - it's just that there was no expectations set beforehand. I want to work really hard to establish myself in my new role and earn my raise.
Review from Engineering Dept
no clear path forward to next career level, and I won't get the compensation I want without it
Review from Engineering Dept
We are working so hard to make big progress and solving super complex problems. The velocity is super high.
Review from Engineering Dept
in theory the compensation plan sounds good, but there are very few (if any) people who were able to make the full value of it due to the metrics being unrealistic.
Review from Sales Dept
I don't feel undervalued, but, there are similar positions available in companies like Twilio that pay better and have better benefits. That can be overcome with option grants, however those seem to be hard to come by at Nylas without a title change, which I'm not really interested in at this time.
Review from Sales Dept
Cold calling is not easy and sometimes I think it deserves more credit than it gets.
Similar companies pay their employees more
Review from Marketing Dept
i do think that are paybands are on the lower side compared with other series B/C startsups that ive worked at
Review from Sales Dept
The scope, time and expectations expected by leadership have only expanded exponentially while the comp has not
Review from Sales Dept
The pay band system doesn't really make sense. It shouldn't matter on the city but as a company what you are willing to pay people.
Review from Sales Dept
nylas states clearly that they will not be able to pay the most in the industry. they aim to retain employees through the fact that at a small startup you'll learn quickly and advance your career.
Review from Marketing Dept
The benefits are fairly basic: no company matching 401k, no Kaiser healthcare option, no formalized bonus structure.
