Joseph L. McCormick — Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at ONE Gas

Mr. Joseph L. McCormick, also known as Joe, has been Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at ONE Gas, Inc. since 2014. Mr. McCormick served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel of ONEOK's Distribution Companies at ONEOK Inc. since January 2008. He was responsible for legal matters of Oneok's natural gas distribution segment; comprised of Oklahoma natural gas, Kansas gas service and Texas gas service. He served as an Associate General Counsel and Vice President at ONEOK Partners, L.P., since January 2008. Mr. McCormick joined ONEOK in 2003 as Managing Attorney with Oklahoma Natural Gas, one of ONEOK's three natural gas distribution companies. Mr. McCormick worked in the Oklahoma attorney general's office for 15 years and served as its Assistant Attorney General since 1991. He also served as an Assistant General Counsel with the Oklahoma Insurance Department. He also has served as a Board Member of the Oklahoma individual self-insured guaranty fund, the Urban league of greater oklahoma city, the Lyric theatre and the Oklahoma Huntington Disease Society. He is a Member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and The Association of Corporate Counsel. Mr. McCormick earned a bachelor of arts degree in public administration in 1984 from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Juris Doctorate in 1987 from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
