The company has had a philosophy of awarding stock options at all levels in the organization. This has created significant alignment of incentives. The company was also a thoughtful early adopter of remote work, even before the onset of Covid-19. This has created an very engaged remote workforce.

I've never questioned whether I'm being paid what I'm worth and I know that if I were to question that, I could approach our leadership team to negotiate changes.
Since the early days of our company as a start up, we've been increasing the benefits year by year. Even though we do not have the best benefits yet, I know that the leadership values the team enough to improve this aspect of the company as we grow bigger.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Higher pay and/or 401k matching would be very appreciated and would match the current market more appropriately.

It's the nature of a small company that you make a little less money. However, the amount of money I make doesn't make me feel undervalued, just saying that life would be easier making a bit more. The benefits of constantly being challenged and growing in my role are a huge value to me.

I do not feel undervalued, but I have taken on more responsibility than my role initially specified, which I dont mind. However, I do believe this should eventually result in a salary adjustment.
