What's the pay like for Engineering roles at Paylocity?
The pay is good; perhaps it's above average. The bonuses are crap. They also like to play the game of delaying raises and bonuses that extra month.
What's the vibe like in the Engineering dept at Paylocity? How many hours are you working?
This can vary. I've done 30-60 a week. It really depends on what's happening. Year end (Jan-Apr) is the busy time for this company. They value work-life balance. I've yet to see a death march here.
How's the leadership on the Engineering team at Paylocity?
Not very different from any other company I've been. They're good people, and accept mistakes. They still tend to value quantity over quality. Another tendency is to strive for control over change, rather than learning to embrace change. They're good people who are open to conversations. Overall, I like them.
What's the Engineering team like at Paylocity?
Friendly, helpful, with some really smart people. *But*, it is like any other company. The smart ones, who know what they are doing, are far outnumbered by the others. As a whole, they tend to embrace the same things any other enterprise does: conformity.
What's the office vibe like at Paylocity?
It's pretty casual, and laid back. May Paylocity employees are remote, so the office vibe can be immaterial.
How many women are in your team? is it diverse enough?
Top Employee Response
1/3 female. 3/4 Caucasian. Our director is a female, but not on the team. Diverse enough? Sure. But I worry more about diverse personalities than skin color or sex.
what's your workflow? agile? waterfall?
Like every other company who things they have a better idea, we're a special, custom agile.
How do the current devs on the team act towards new developers that join?
Our team is very respectful, and welcoming of new devs.
