Review from Operations Dept
It is very diverse and open to suggestions
Company itself is great but local managers are uncaring ond refuse to fix any safety problems. I'm to the point that I am actually scared for my saftey.
gratitude, work balance, support, pay
They need to understand that without the warehouse workers nothing gets done. They need to learn the simple lesson that, absent the miner, a gold mine is a hole in the ground.

I feel that they only care about employees until it involves money/salary.
Proving direction and resource planning .
My Health Benefits through Anthem.

The salary I receive for my job
Health Insurance is amazing. 6 percent match for 401k is great.
do way more than im supposed to for same wages
Management is disrespectful at the line level. Upoer management talks a good game, but line mananhers are rude and disrespectful. I would feel more positive if I were paid more and treated with respect

We had a miserable year as people but one of the best years ever for the business (largely because employees absorbed many costs of the business in quarantine) and instead of investing in human capital they bought the competition.

Working beyond 40 hrs/week is necessary to meet the needs of the job and the leadership and clients expect that and more but are unwilling to pay more for standard of living for employees residing in New York City. It's impossible to support a healthy family with this workload and pay.
Compared to other folks that handle the load I do , I feel I make less.
They treat me with respect.
Review from Operations Dept
The quality of care, service and commitment
they are mostly very supportive, patient, and intelligent people who i learn a lot from

The suportiveness that everyone adds
Most coworkers are great and understanding yet managers are not by far.
Shared vision. Sense of mission.
Review from Operations Dept
Join together to fight horrible management.
No take aways at end of meetings. Chaos, wrong folks in wrong meetings.
The perks, the canteen, interacting with warehouse staff.
Nothing Get high level Managemejt to run that shift properly!
i learn new skills often and personal/professional development are clearly important to management, yet promotions and growth are still extremely slow, largely due to the oligopoly of the book industry
Review from Operations Dept
Everyone is friendly and willing to help you
Corporate treats use amazing with insurance, 401k, bonus and unbeatable vacation time. Local managers are horrible, as least on 3rd shift. I can't speak for other shifts.
More authentic and inclusive. More diverse leadership.
Encoursge big picture thinking; get employees to buy in to company mission and vision
Review from Operations Dept
Management has a lot of favorites that they tend to use over others. Unsafe work areas are a real problem at my WESTMINSTER site.
Employees are confused because of lack of direction and feel overwhelmed.
it was as informative for me as it was an appeal to be hired.

The personalization of the questions
HR was nice and respectful. Very understanding and explained everything.
Encourage trained drivers to apply and assume Good attitudes and morale
The creative focus of the work.
The people I deal with on a regular basis
Doing creative work that makes a difference
working on a book that can make a real impact
Review from Operations Dept
The work I get to do. It's very fufilling!
Safety safety safety. Management is leaving incompetent and dangerous lift operators on trucks for production, often overriding trainers' decsisions not to sign off. No post-accident drug testing. Known users/drinkers showing up under the influence and operating PIE
Review from Operations Dept
Bad Management, lack of direction. Lack of resource planning and actually focussing on what is important to the core business needs.
We enable literacy around the world. What we do creates value for writers, artists, and creatives as well as the consumers of their creative product

I love how the culture is great!
Compensation. Unionisation. Culture of respect. Clear paths to advancement.

I would like to see the facilities improve
