Honestly as someone with decent sales experience it comes naturally and often products sell themselves. However, the management is incompetent and store managers are often industry plants that are friends with someone higher up which ends im managers being misimformed and power trip because of it.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The tend to feel the need to announce their leadership in various ways. Very much "because I said so" kind of people. Since they are upper management they feel they never have to communicate. There have been plenty of times where the rest of the staff are unaware of things like important visits.
