Pet Honesty Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Great benefits, flexible office/remote policy, and life insurance

Review from Finance Dept

The equal alignment of our team. Balanced for men and women.

The equity potential followed by bonus

Review from Marketing Dept

Participating in the equity incentive program

The amount of options we get for health insurance

Review from Marketing Dept

The equity component is my favorite.

Review from Operations Dept

The company bonus plan. Not all companies offer bonus plans to employees.

1) Equity upside 2) bonus earning potential

I enjoy having coverage for my pet's insurance. Plus, all the basics of 401(k) matching, health insurance, etc.

Salary and flexible time off

Bonus plan provides a lot of upside

Review from Operations Dept

I appreciate the equity share, the health coverage, and the option to have pet coverage.

Review from Marketing Dept

Paid parental leave and 401k company matching

salary + bonus + equity

Review from Marketing Dept

Its very fair, especially our bonus potential.

Equity and unlimited PTO is great

Ability to contribute to 401k and company match

Review from Marketing Dept

Bonus structure and how we can earn more each year

The PTO availability and the budget for work equipment.

The 401k match that is provided

Review from Operations Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Some roles and functions exert more effort and dedicate longer hours to complex projects compared to other functions within the company, yet they often receive less recognition and fewer rewards

Review from Finance Dept

We're a lean org with multiple responsibilities per person with sometimes little support.

Review from Marketing Dept

I'm getting paid less than at my previous role

Review from Marketing Dept

Pay definetely doesnt match what other in my same role make at other companies and still we are required to do things that dont really pertain to the role

Review from Marketing Dept

Having a proper discussion right away over how the role is evolved and how this changes my compensation

Review from Marketing Dept

I believe compensation should be directly tied to the value an employee creates and not their age or title. I believe that I have created significantly more value (sales growth and cost savings) than is reflected in my total cash comp. I would feel better if my OTE reflected the value I am creating.

Undercompensated for role. Low cash salary, and equity compensation depends on incredibly high sales price. No career development plan, few opportunities for growth. Long hours and high workload. High gap between highest paid on leadership team and lower paid employees. Perks are not great.

My pay is not in line with market average for my title, experience level, and the value I feel I bring to the team. More frequent conversations/feedback on comp might make me feel better. Being paid at least market average would certainly make it better

Review from Operations Dept

Loyalty to the brand and its people seems to be overvalued in what an employee wants and needs from a place of employment.

Review from Marketing Dept

Workload and responsibilities outweigh compensation

Review from Finance Dept

My salary is far from market value, even though I work really hard and go above and beyond for this company.

Review from Marketing Dept

I feel my role is extremely critical. My availability is extremely flexible. I believe I work harder than what my compensation reflects. I've also been with the company from the first day and have seniority. I believe should have received more raises along the way than I have by now.

Review from Finance Dept

I am not fairly compensated for my role and responsibilities and have been sought out and offered a higher salary. What is currently keeping me is the mission of our brand and products.

Review from Marketing Dept

I'm aware that the base salary for my type of position with my level of experience is about $10K higher than what i'm making here.

Review from Marketing Dept

I feel like I do the work of about 2-3 people, with new responsibilities added daily, some that don't accurately reflect my job title. I am ok with doing a lot of work - prefer it actually. But I don't feel leadership understands or appreciates the amount of work people on other levels are doing.

I know there is a lot of work being done to make our pay competitive and it gets a little tricky with equity payouts, etc. but even with the recent work done in this area, my base pay is still well below average for my role, years of experience, and location.

Review from Operations Dept

My role is paid under fair market value given actualized job scope. The core competency in my focus area (ecommerce) is very light in leadership.
