They need to get better at communicating the company goals and objectives. Communicate the plans and strategies if any. Roll up their sleeves and team up with subordinates. Bring cohesiveness to the team.

Review from Marketing Dept
Some roles and functions exert more effort and dedicate longer hours to complex projects compared to other functions within the company, yet they often receive less recognition and fewer rewards
Review from Finance Dept
We're a lean org with multiple responsibilities per person with sometimes little support.
Review from Marketing Dept
I'm getting paid less than at my previous role
Review from Marketing Dept
Pay definetely doesnt match what other in my same role make at other companies and still we are required to do things that dont really pertain to the role
Review from Marketing Dept
Having a proper discussion right away over how the role is evolved and how this changes my compensation

Review from Finance Dept
Intelligence and Passion for the brand and work they do
There needs to be more accountability for controlling costs, managing effectiveness of team members, and ensuring that decisions are made FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMPANY (not just to hit dept KPIs). There's a lack of compassion and understanding of cross-functional needs when we collaborate.
Review from Finance Dept
Many coworkers care more about getting ahead, making sure they get credit over others, make sure they're getting facetime with CEO and other LT members. Not about "best idea winning" anymore, and more making sure "my idea wins". Quick to place blame, quick to try to put workloads on other teams.
The Austin HQ provides free lunch and the people that come into work are all friendly and easy to collaborate with in person. The problem is that half of the company works remotely and the connectivity with those individuals isn't nearly as strong.
Review from Finance Dept
I think generally the people that are here - hard to answer.
Review from Marketing Dept
Flexibility of remote / on-site work. Ability to travel to HQ in Austin.
Review from Marketing Dept
Mission driven (elevate pet vitality), open door policy, commitment to bringing everyone along for the journey
Review from Finance Dept
Dogs in the office, team gatherings and collaboration
New co. values seem copy & pasted from any other company & are not special to PH. Unlimited vacation is a trap bc most people take less than they would normally - bigger push to take days off & promote work/life balance. Perks are subpar for a "startup". Co. doesn't make employees feel special.
Everyone I met with was very transparent about the work environment and culture. Very genuine feedback which made me feel like this would be a great company to work for.

I enjoy challenging work and doing what I can to help the company reach it's goals. I'm looking forward to more wins and overcoming obstacles that I can build upon as I progress in my career.
Review from Finance Dept
When coworkers are celebrated for their achievements and collaborating on projects.
Review from Marketing Dept
Seeing the younger talent in the company find their stride, power thru challenges, and take ownership of their role
Review from Finance Dept
Doing tasks I am comfortable doing from having done in the past
Review from Marketing Dept
The challenges and the opportunities to excel and showcase my performance, and learning new things
Review from Marketing Dept
lack of direction and leadership, frustation on not having clear answers
Review from Marketing Dept
There is no visionary leader. Strategy was wrong for a full year before pivoting and so far new strategy has been mediocre. Nobody willing to make bold decisions. This creates a co. that is no different from many other brands out there now. Company is losing its right to win and falling behind.
Too mamy urgent priorities. Teams struggling to keep up. Lost two leadership team members. Overall morale feels down. Could be improved by focusing only on what matters most and open conversations about the burn out a lot of employees are feeling
