This company has truly changed my life, and has made me enjoy what I am doing from a work perspective. I feel like I am apart of something that matters, and that matters to me.

I enjoy the people I work with, but executive leadership needs to humanize their approach to their team.

A fast paced environment with good scope of learning. Helpful and understanding management provides a peaceful environment to work and thrive.

  • Professionally. It's a numbers driven business and if you're not hitting your number or underperforming, you shouldn't need to be warmed by your manager you should know yourself that your performance wasn't good enough.

  • The opportunities are there and they're not just linear moves like just promotion from an SDR to a Sr. SDR. You can do different type of sales so maybe you went from SDR to Sales Engineer. Probably not but you never know because anything is possible at Phenom.

  • I'm not 100$ sure but I do know the SDRs volunteered around Christmas helped load gifts for underprivileged kids in a church. I also know that every birthday, the person who's bday it is gets to choose an organization to donate to.

  • Be fearless. Don't be afraid of messing up- the best way to learn is to just go for it, make mistakes and then learn from/correct the mistakes. For SDR's specifically, you have to have no fear when it comes to cold calling. Don't be timid when your peers are listening to you, they're not out to make fun of you, they're there to help and new people have to understand you're not expected to get 10 discos off the bat, that'd be awesome, but not realistic. Patience is my second piece of advice. New people need to understand it's a process as you have to learn a technology product, you have to learn the pitch and you have to learn how to combine those two and be ready for counter questions. It takes time and you can't put too much pressure on yourself right away if it's not clicking as quick as you may like. It'll all come together in time, just have to understand it will take time.

  • As an SDR, it's tough work and not the most glamorous job but we make the most of it. As a team, we're tight-knit and a relatively fun bunch. We like to make jokes and poke fun at each other and goof off from time to time. However, we know it takes a lot of grind to be successful so we're good at supporting and pushing eachother. We're definitely a team and like to work together to make eachother better.

  • For the SDRs it's pretty good. Each team has a different leader who is our peer and works alongside us but has a bit more success and experience. Generally very helpful and supportive. You can ask a lot of questions and expect plenty of guidance. Our Director provides some help but doesn't typically get involved much. The VP of Sales is awesome - very passionate and knowledge but you don't get as much exposure to him as an SDR as you would if you were an Enterprise Rep.

  • SDR role - Management gives you the tools to be successful and then it's up to you how you want to organize your day and go about getting meetings. There's structure but you can also do whatever works best for you. We do have a quota but it's more for encouragement and benchmarking yourself rather than stressing out and rushing to hit numbers. The team is really great - it's a very casual and friendly work environment and we all work together and support eachother. Hours typically range from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday but it's really flexible as long as you're getting your work done.
