What is the best part about your compensation package?

I hope it will be the stock!!

What are some of the best things about your team?

I am typically pleased to find simple approaches and clear thinking in my colleagues' work.

What makes you most happy at work?

Getting to know people. We are a remote company so there is that limitation. And solving problems and furthering the product we're building that is beneficial to the world.

What did you like most about the interview process?

I don't know how representative my software-engineering interview was. We talked about my experience and I was given a question that is relevant to the work and product at Phylum but it was essentially a math question.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

People respect each other's thinking and there is an assumption that people are working with urgency. As such, interactions are typically lighthearted and positive and it is rare that I feel pressured by others. That we get a lot done tells me that everyone is applying some self-pressure.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

There is a high level of trust, respect for people and their thinking, and an underlying assumption that people are working with urgency. The company is now more than 4 times the size it was when I joined but there is still a similar feel. I think that's an accomplishment of the leadership team.
