We are awarded leave greater than I take, this is hampered being the sole PKL member in a minimally manned office. Coverage in my absence is slim to none. This is again only because I have to work around the constant vacancy of our enlisted office members.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I've found a home where my decades of training and experience are appreciated, where I earn an honest dollar and still have benefits that can allow me to enjoy life away from the office. A job that I enjoy going to daily and feel a secure future with.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Knowledge and experience that each of us bring to the job and the willingness to share that with others.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I'm a one deep separated position so we coordinate as such but that communication, common job experience and background is immeasurable.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Leave and pay structure is by far number one. The available H&W offerings meet my needs and are often not provided within local alternative employers.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The ESOP was an incredible benefit, but the leave allowance is very nice for those who can take advantage of it or require it in an emergency.
What makes you most happy at work?
Knowing what I do makes as difference and has a direct impact to the wing's mission. In my seat there are multiple units DoD wide that we support, and all receive the highest level PKL customer service.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They've equipped us to do our job and have taken care of the employee base through what anyone would consider a trying time with COVID. The company seems to do a good job of communication and setting standards.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I don't have any direct contract co-workers, but I do interface with them remotely and we all have similar career field backgrounds and experience so there is a lot in common and that makes communication and support for each other other top notch.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Many of us have done the jobs we fill for decades as active duty USAF and with that carry a wealth of knowledge, experience and historical information. It allows us to foresee the potential conflicts and navigate around potential mission failure points.
What makes you most happy at work?
I work with knowledgeable individuals I trust to know their job and many of them are friends and thus we know when one another may have something to deal with abnormal both at work and in their personal life. None mind if another looks over their shoulder to ensure we haven't missed something.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I work in a separated section without much interaction with other on my contract and its nice to know they'll let me do the job that needs to be done (I've done it for decads) and my leadership realizes my value and unique situation but reaches out to relate important things that might not get to me
