Leadership is home grown but committed to the public sector. Most have been at the firm for decades. Ultimately, PCG is led by the CEO, President and Founder who is as driven by philanthropy and service as he is growing a successful and dynamic firm.

How does Public Consulting Group make decisions around promotions?
Politics and Familia. Honestly, everything is rigged or you have to kiss feet to move up.
How's the vacation policy at Public Consulting Group?
You accrue PTO and sick pay based on pay period. I believe 3 hours a pay period. To take vacation , you must be in good standing in your cases and get multiple approvals

How secure do you feel at your job at Public Consulting Group?
Pretty good, as long as I go to work and enter participation hours daily while keeping clients happy will attainable job security.
How can I improve my chances of being hired at Public Consulting Group?
Have alot of county, casework experience. If you come from the YMCA Child Care Department, Child development Associates Department, and/or any other city/state grant funded resource you will be hired. Alot of case management work is desired.
What kind of people succeed at Public Consulting Group?
People that dedicated 3-5+ years of being stagnant in the same position. Cent raised increases and very few dollar increases. not worth it.

No Voice at all.
How do you feel about going to work at Public Consulting Group everyday?
I dread it. I dislike management practices and hate being micromanaged. I am hoping I can be out of there soon. Tired of driving to work in the mornings and realizing the company is awful.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Public Consulting Group?
Not difficult. Try to stay away from keeping to many relationships from work. Only stick to people you trust and had good mentorship and/or training with. Other than that, stay away.
How challenged are you at Public Consulting Group?
Very challenged. Over 80+ cases that need to be engaged, communicated, touched a month to be in good standing with management and the company. Aside from client interactions; Orientation, Assessments, Reassessment appointments, Good Cause Appointments, Sanction appointments. Alot of paper work and appointments
What are the team outings like at Public Consulting Group?
very few once a year. Holiday Party and/or After Holiday Party. Very stingy company that does not invest into their employees.
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Public Consulting Group?
That It was a contracted agency of the county of San Diego. I wish it was a county opportunity. The Headaches are not worth the pay and/or the workplace environment

Low. Unrealistic practices and deadlines. People do not want to be there for too long. Not enough growth.
