  • Clean sweep. Put commercial at the helm and make growing revenue--not buying back shares and squeezing benefits--a priority. Get rid of lifers and acknowledge different needs across the business.

  • Compliance and corporate/support functions, and outsourcing are growing like Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Another cumbersome IT system sprouts up weekly. Any sort of complex testing cannot grow in this environment. One-size-fits-all approach to product launch is geared towards the simplest testing. We are slow and walled off from the customer.

  • Most of them lifers who have no accountability or concept of a deadline, or politicians who are more concerned with vigorously agreeing with their superiors, or outright shirkers who work one day a week and lie on their call reports. The occasional bully who flaunts his title and threatens to fire anyone who talks back. Even rarer, the competent individual who cares about the business and wants to grow. One in a million, someone who cares and can make a difference.
