I got to talk to people I would be working with.
I appreciated the early access to the hiring manager. Some companies put you through several phone screens before you get to meet with the person who will manage you/hire you.
Their standards are so low that any competent person looks like a rock star.
I enjoyed getting to ask questions that helped me determine if it was a good fit for me to join the team -- not just the other way around like usual.
The person interviewing is very nice
