Great communication, values everyone's opinion and gives honest feedback.
They are always thinking about ways to grow the company, facilitate a great work culture, love what they do and are very good at it, always transparent with the team, and show genuine interest in your personal goals and development.
Great balance between listening and taking charge. I always feel my ideas and concerns are heard when considering the direction of the company. At the same time, they are decisive when setting goals and the long-term path forward.
Everyone is involved in decision making which is great
There is a strong focus on principles and keeping aligned to them as we progress. As a developer, the founders understand the need to work on some of the 'invisible' things that can help maintain our productivity/velocity as the code base expands. Couldn't ask for a better team to work for.

Compensation for co-working space and further education.
A budget to sponsor employees to upskill and learn (e.g. attending conferences, completing online courses, book resources)
For a seed-stage startup (at the time I joined), the compensation is fair--far from what I could get in a corporate setting, but enough to have a modest day-to-day life.
Flexible scheduling | working from home

Everyone is so wildly smart and curious. No matter who you talk to you will learn and grow from them.
Great people to chat to, always a joy to work with, constructive feedback, know their field well, great collaboration
Openness and ownership. Everyone is open to feedback and thoughtful about the interaction between co-workers. At the same time, we take each of our responsibilities towards the company and our customers very seriously. I believe all that combined has led to better customer outcomes.
Very smart colleagues and everyone is so lovely

We have high standards, but don't compromise on quality or culture. (Velocity with valour.)
Great balance between work and fun, encouraging environment where mistakes or failures are treated as opportunities to learn rather than be reprimanded
Thoughtfulness and undeniable bestness (one of our core principles). We believe that a mono-culture won't work so we make sure we are able to encourage different ways of thinking. At the same time, we keep the bar high so that we can provide the best product to our customers.
Everyone is willing to help each other whenever they can

It was a learning experience in and of itself.
I went through a slightly less traditional method of interviewing, but built a great rapport with my manager before being hired which made the transition to becoming an employee for the company very easy and enjoyable
Digs deep into both competency and fit. We have a task for each role that makes sure we can test the candidate with real world problems. At the same time, we follow a structured process to uncover if the candidate will be a good fit to the company's culture.
The take-home task is a very good filter
It is a difficult process, but feels satisfying to succeed in.

Doing work that I enjoy, and learning from a great team of people
The opportunity to build something from the ground-up with a great bunch of people that I enjoy working with.
The interesting job and smart colleagues
Lots of challenging problems, with a team that care about the work they produce.

The culture -- very open, inclusive and collaborative
Intensity and pace. I'm not sure if it's the Australian culture, but I feel a startup should be more intense to grow quickly.
