What's the work from home policy like at Rand McNally?
If you're an executive you can work at home all you like. If you're a favorite of an executive you can work at home all you like. The rest are strongly discouraged from working from home.
It depends on the manager but it is generally frowned upon by the C-Suite which is hypocritical because the CEO and other members of upper management live out of state and often work from home.
What is the best advice you could give someone during their first month at Rand McNally?

How does Rand McNally measure success and growth in the Engineering department?
They don't.
How does Rand McNally handle HR issues?
Rand McNally doesn't have a real HR department so issues are handled by the company lawyer and an executive assistant.
Does Rand McNally drug test or do a background check?
Background check yes. I don't know about drug test.
In your opinion, what are the most common interview questions that Rand McNally asks?
Have you ever worked at Motorola? (If you have you are one step closer to being hired) Do you have an MBA? (This is a plus for even the most unrelated position) What schools did you go to? (This is more important than actual experience)

Compensation is well below market average and any pay increase is laughable at best.
