The interview was respectful and the interviewers knowledgeable. The recruiter takes employees out to dinner to really get to know a person. It was excellent treatment.
Management has no vision. They have blinders on and are entirely focused on short term metrics. They refuse to buy new lab equipment, and we use stuff that belongs in a museum. We're constantly stealing from other engineer's workstations to get work done due to lack of equipment. Poorly managed.
Management needs to be more respectful. Respect is supposed to be a Raytheon Value, but that only applies to the peon employees, not management. Management can be downright abusive, especially the new managers that came in after most of the old timers quit or retired. The company is not the same.
Management is too focused on short term metrics. They will spend a dollar to save a penny, neglecting customer needs. We are never allowed to do a job right the first time, but there's unlimited budget to fix things. Managers need to give meaningful raises. Achievement Awards were cut to $250.
Benefits have been declining for several years now. First they took away the pension and replaced it with a 6% match, then the matched lowered to 4%, then 3%. Health insurance was taken away and replaced with an HSA having a $7,000 deductible. That's like having no insurance at all. <3% raises.
