Thomas A. Vecchiolla — President of Raytheon International Inc at Raytheon Technologies

Mr. Thomas A. Vecchiolla, also known as Tom, served as the President of Raytheon International Inc. since May 1, 2014 until September 7, 2017. Mr. Vecchiolla served as the Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, IDS of Raytheon Company since August 1, 2006. He joined IDS in 2002 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility in Business Development including director, Sea Based Capabilities. He served as the Director of Strategy and Government Relations where he established a team responsible for developing and coordinating congressional relations. Prior to joining Raytheon, Mr. Vecchiolla led efforts for government applications in the information technology industry. He served as a legislative assistant to Sen. Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine, for national security and military affairs. Before joining Raytheon in 2002, he was vice president of Government Programs for Commerce Onee-Government Solutions, leading business execution and sales for all Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence agency programs in the areas of electronic commerce, web enablement and portal technologies. In his public-sector career, he served as legislative assistant for National Security and Military Affairs to Sen.Olympia J. Snowe, then Chair of the Seapower Subcommittee on the Senate Armed Services Committee. He began on the Hill in January 1996, as an active-duty U.S. Navy captain and Brookings Institution legislative fellow on the personal staff of Sen. William S. Cohen, with a wide variety of responsibilities concentrating on national defense issues. Mr. Vecchiolla served in the U.S. Navy as a helicopter pilot and acquisition professional. He has a proven track record and extensive experience in international business development and competitive pursuits. Mr. Vecchiolla serves as Director of Thales-Raytheon Systems Company LLC. He holds a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Academy. He holds a Master of Science in systems management from the University of Southern California and undertook MBA studies at Marymount University.
