Love the work life flexibility here. There merger with UTC has caused some positive cultural changes, and benefits actually got better for most of the Raytheon folks. They really hold people accountable for the right leadership behaviors too.

Raytheon can improve by outright refusing to produce military products and using their vast monetary wealth to punish those who attempt to purchase military products from them.

In bad times no raise in good times inflation at best
Every couple of years
only if there is a position change
How's the work life balance at Raytheon Technologies?
On paper - good. In Reality - not so good.
Depends on the project. I've swinging both extremes, 40 hrs a week at the office to 85 hrs in a week during integration.
Great, like more IT roles hours can very depending on the project but if authorized for over time you can either bank time off or get paid.
How's the morale at Raytheon Technologies?
Very. Very poor
It’s generally OK but there’s a lot of work to do. People aren’t worried about their jobs like other companies in the sector, they’re just overwhelmed by the amount of stuff going on.
Not good! I’m looking for a way out now.
How secure do you feel at your job at Raytheon Technologies?
Secure for low but there’s always the undercurrent I’d rank and rating going against you if you’re not one of the popular kids.
Very secure.
Here's the truth... if you can become someone that gains an expertise over a given area.. say become a Subject matter expert. You have a strong place that the company will keep you and not toss you. If you are one of many, you'll easily be asked to go and move to something new, and maybe that might be something you don't like. At this point you don't have a choice, and you may be terminated. I would say if you are willing to play ball with the company you have a job for a long time. If you you only do java, and everything say is moving to C embedded and you can't adjust. Good bye!
How's the vacation policy at Raytheon Technologies?
3 weeks PTO standard after your first calendar year. Use-or-lose (so everyone uses and it’s a pretty hard management no-no to tell people to not take vacation)
Excellent after five years
Vacation is okay. The first year you don't get much but increases after that. The hours are flexible depending on your role and assignment.
What's the company culture like at Raytheon Technologies?
It used to be good but now it’s cut throat and people aren’t respected.
Fallacy of hard work pays iff
Busy!
What are you most excited about working at Raytheon Technologies?
I used to love it when it was t overloaded, over processed and managers were decent people
The work is really interesting if you’re in the right groups. I’ve been lucky but they also encourage you to go find stuff you’d rather be doing than what you are. It’s pretty flexible and dynamic.

Raytheon coed softball league, one game a week. Good opportunity to meet people outside of your normal working group and we have a cookout afterwards. Same deal for volleyball. Basketball league at a nearby school, Raytheon hockey league and golf leagues at area courses, plenty of lunchtime running groups (yes, locker room and showers), and some annual 5k running events for fund raisers. Also a town cleanup walk for earth day.
Used to but they cut out the employee social group a long time ago.
