Mr. Nicholas L. Luff, also known as Nick, has been the Chief Financial Officer of Reed Elsevier NV, Reed Elsevier Plc (now RELX PLC)and RELX Group plc since September 1, 2014. Mr. Luff served as Group Finance Director of Centrica PLC from March 1, 2007 to August 31, 2014. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company Limited since May 14, 2003. He joined Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company Limited in 1991 and served as its Group Treasurer since 1994 and Head of Corporate Finance since 1996. He originally joined P&O as Corporate Finance Manager from KPMG in 1991. He began his career as an accountant with KPMG. Mr. Luff served as the Chief Financial Officer at The Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company. He served at P&O, as well as its affiliated companies, including P&O Princess Cruises and Royal P&O Nedlloyd where he worked for 15 years in a variety of senior finance roles. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of P&O Princess Cruises plc from 2000 to 2003 and served as its Finance Director from 1999 to 2000. He served as a Director of P&O Nedlloyd at Royal P&O Nedlloyd N.V from 2003 to 2005. He has been a Director at Bank Of Scotland plc since March 5, 2013. He has been an Executive Director of RELX NV, RELX PLC and of RELX Group plc since September 1, 2014. He has been a Non-Executive Director at Nedlloyd Container Line Limited since January 8, 2004. He serves as a Non Executive Director of QinetiQ North America, Inc. He has been an Independent Director of HBOS plc since March 5, 2013. Mr. Luff had been a Director of Centrica Production Limited since August 2009. He serves as Trustee of the Merchant Navy Officers Pension Fund. He served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Lloyds Bank plc since March 5, 2013 until May 11, 2017. He served as Independent Non-Executive Director of Lloyds Banking Group plc from March 5, 2013 to May 11, 2017. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Qinetiq Group Plc from June 30, 2004 to December 31, 2010 and QinetiQ Limited. He served as a Director of Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company Limited. He served as a Board Member at P&O Princess Cruises plc from 1999 to 2000. Mr. Luff qualified as a UK Chartered Accountant from 1987 to 1991. Mr. Luff holds a Degree in mathematics from the University of Oxford.
