Rio Tinto Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

In my department some of my leadership show genuine care, most do not. Just a paycheck and pass on the real responsibility and workload down

they act on our requests as a team quickly

Ccdx ggghhb hhghh ggghhh gyu tggh

They are understanding for the most part and supportive.

Review from Operations Dept

They seem involved and caring about truly making a difference in the way we deliver the commodities the world needs to thrive.

Diverse and caring leadership team

I believe they have the right set of values

The advisors, are pretty good

Team support is always there. When you have great leaders and team members support comes naturally

The hands off approach to managing Teams

My leadership team is solid

They pretend to care about employees.

Organised, highly educated, motived, and hard working

People oriented, good working culture

They are supportive and cooperative

very easy going and easy to talk to

Supportive, not micro-managers. Don't let the risk of failure prevent you from trying. Failure is something to learn from.

Approachable and a comsitent amd genuie focus on safety

Everyone works together to see outcomes that works for each other as best as possible. If you need time off management will generally be able to make it happen for you. Leaders are approachable and open, I think it’s because most of them started at the bottom so they understand their worker

They are good people, work effectively and friendly

Review from Engineering Dept

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Understand things on the shop floor

Honesty and integrity, treat your FIFO workforce with respect

Accountability, disabling, training, professionalism. Growth

Meaning what they implement for the right reasons

Treat the team with the same respect they ask for. The knowledge base for leadership team is lacking substatually. There lack of knowledge to run a minister is leading to very unsafe working conditions

To be honest and be more reasonable

Who is the leadership team! No one knows as they don't present them selves.

need a cull of all management across the whole company. the leadership style is past its time

Stop the facade the business is full of self interested people who rely heavily on Perception

they need to get better at everything

Providing better site and living conditions

Need to look after employees and contractors better. Poor camp set up. Overzealous with food. On previous occassions when providing feed back regarding safety I was told 'some people don't belong here'. Uncomfortable environment. Regrettable experience. Disrespectful to Aboriginal people.

Review from Operations Dept

Focus on operations rather than social change. We are a mining company, not a governmental institution

Review from Engineering Dept

Empathy, Listening, Positive feedback and recognition, Looking out for employees mental health.

Review from Operations Dept

Appreciating people and the contributions they make; finding strategies other than selling off all our assets (our future) to hand out money to shareholders.
