What's the vibe like in the Engineering dept at Ripple? How many hours are you working?
Vibe is positive, with plenty of leeway for creative solutions. "Crunch" times are extremely rare. Work-life balance is excellent.

High-level leadership is strong, talented, and overextended. Mid-level leadership is sparse, but growing. Better than most orgs.

What's the work from home policy like at Ripple?
It depends on the team you're on and the manager you work for. There's no formal policy on this. My team has flexibility to work from home when they need to and find it very easy to accommodate.
Does Ripple drug test or do a background check?
No on drug testing, but yes on a normal background checking process.

ripple is more remote/telecommute friendly than most places. good gender balance in the company (fair number of women in leadership and the ranks). Healthy workplace environment overall. No raging egos.

high performing, high quality people
What's the pay like for Engineering roles at Ripple?
runs about the median for the market. they certainly are not overpaying and the bonuses are low-ish. There is no substantial short term stock incentive since they are very pre-IPO, so options are just a gamble at this point.
