Power hungry leadership that care little about their workers and people. We keep their company afloat and their pockets full and they have no problem firing people at Christmas time or anytime based on mistakes made by their own leadership.

The leadership believes that they are unbiased. My experience was there were a powerful cliques and favorites who could hamper your work or make it easy.

The experience is challenging on most days, whether dealing with different opinions among staff/administration or the everyday challenges that arise from students. But, the experience has truly helped me develop as a teacher and leader.

Passion for educating inner city kids and closing the education gap.

The leadership team has a strong desire for greatness.

Relating to the common person. Remembering that they work for a non-profit organization that is supposed to help people.

Actually making decisions based on the best interests of students, families, and staff instead of money. They have no clue what’s happening in schools and the fact that their model isn’t working

The paycheck might be good but is not worth the stress or treatment from the leadership team.

The Insurance plans provided/Performance Based Pay

The network hasn’t kept up with the pay of surrounding districts, especially with the numerous responsibilities and longer day

Our team is always willing to do what it takes to be successful.

Coworkers are just as stressed and mistreated. They are just trying to keep their jobs.

It is the educational focus.

The diversity in my opinion is what makes the atmosphere positive when it comes to cultures.

Listen to School staff about what works and what doesn’t. Don’t just copy something from other networks without context and execute it poorly. Consider sustainability so you aren’t burning people out

My principal at the time was honest and obviously knowledgeable which helped me trust I was going to work for a good organization.

Ask questions that actually relate to the job, not questions to make a person feel uneducated. We know you have Masters and Bachelors you don't have to make people feel inferior.

You’re competing for talent, so treat the process with a focus on the candidate rather than a cattle
