Communication, inclusiveness, addressing expectations, being empathetic
Relating to the common person. Remembering that they work for a non-profit organization that is supposed to help people.
Actually making decisions based on the best interests of students, families, and staff instead of money. They have no clue what’s happening in schools and the fact that their model isn’t working
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The network hasn’t kept up with the pay of surrounding districts, especially with the numerous responsibilities and longer day
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Coworkers are just as stressed and mistreated. They are just trying to keep their jobs.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Leadership team. Recognizing that we are humans with separate lives. We aren't machines
Listen to School staff about what works and what doesn’t. Don’t just copy something from other networks without context and execute it poorly. Consider sustainability so you aren’t burning people out
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Ask questions that actually relate to the job, not questions to make a person feel uneducated. We know you have Masters and Bachelors you don't have to make people feel inferior.
You’re competing for talent, so treat the process with a focus on the candidate rather than a cattle
