Executive Bio

Mr. Scott De Haas has been Senior Vice President of Product Engineering and Operations at Roku, Inc. since October 2014 and served as its Vice President of Hardware Engineering from October 2011 to October 2014. Mr. De Haas joined Roku in 2011. Mr. De Haas oversees all hardware development, including sustaining and production activities. Mr. De Haas has 20 years of experience in the consumer electronics and telecom industries, designing products and custom silicon solutions for low and very high-volume applications. Prior to Roku, Mr. De Haas held several hardware engineering positions during his six years at 2Wire and Pace. He managed the silicon development team until 2009 when it was sold to Broadcom and then managed hardware engineering until the acquisition by Pace. Before that, Mr. De Haas spent eight years at Next Level Communications. He managed silicon development efforts and equipment teams while there. At the start of his career, Mr. De Haas worked in the PCI chipsets division at Intel designing chipsets for the Pentium processor. Mr. De Haas holds a bachelors degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Davis.
