Executive Bio

Mr. Macon F. Brock, Jr. co-founded Dollar Tree, Inc. (Dollar Tree Stores Inc.) in 1986 and served as its Chairman Emeritus since September 18, 2017 to 2018 and served as its Chairman from September 2001 to September 18, 2017 and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 1993 to 2003 and President from 1986 to 2001. Mr. Brock directs the overall operations of Dollar Tree. He served as President of K&K Toys until 1991. He served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. He was a special agent for U.S. Naval Intelligence before entering the retail business. He served as Chairman of Randolph-Macon College until June 30, 2009 and serves as its Trustee. Mr. Brock serves on the Boards of Directors of several smaller privately held companies and non-profit organizations. Mr. Brock has been a Director at rue21, Inc. since February 2010. He has been a Director of Dollar Tree, Inc. since 1986. He served as an Independent Director of Lumber Liquidators Holdings, Inc., from November 2007 to May 23, 2016. He serves as a Director of Hampton Roads Community Foundation. He served as Director of Signet Banking Corp. since 1997, K&K Toys until 1991 and also served as a Director of Signet Bank. Mr. Brock holds a B.A. degree from Randolph-Macon College.
