Stronger internal communication and clear expectations

At Salsify there is little collaboration across departments. Sales is hostile to CS and vice versa. This makes internal escalation or discussion pretty difficult when there is no assumption of good intent. Everyone just assumes the worst.

Coworkers can sometimes become too involved in topics that are not directly impactful on their own workflow and day to day. There are certain teams who don't share equal workload or shift workload to teams because they are unwilling to do it.
