Mr. David L. McEvoy, J.D. has been the General Counsel of SeaChange International, Inc. since July 1, 2012 and as its Senior Vice President since February 1, 2013. Mr. McEvoy has been Secretary of SeaChange International, Inc. since May 17, 2013. He served as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Peoplefluent, Inc. He joined Peoplefluent on July 14, 2011 and was responsible for directing Peoplefluent's legal organization, overseeing corporate policies, intellectual property, risk management, privacy and security, litigation and contract administration. Mr. McEvoy has significant software experience as General Counsel of several public and private companies. He served as General Counsel of Aprisma Management Technologies, Inc. Mr. McEvoy has deep experience in growth environments and has worked extensively in customer-centric environments. He served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of VeriFone Systems, Inc. Mr. McEvoy has more than 20 years of experience representing global technology companies during times of organizational growth and rapid product development. Prior to Peoplefluent, he served as the Senior Vice President at Art Technology Group Inc. since April 2010 and also served as its General Counsel since September 2005. From September 2005 to March 2010, Mr. McEvoy served as the Vice President at Art Technology Group Inc., where he led a global legal department. As a Art Technology Group's General Counsel, he also managed a strategic patent portfolio that grew by 500 percent in five years. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President and Group General Counsel of Operations at The Gores Group LLC. During his tenure, Mr. McEvoy negotiated merger and acquisition transactions and performed due diligence in numerous acquisitions, dispositions and IPOs of portfolio companies. He served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at VeriFone, Inc. He served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the Learning Company/Broderbund, Inc. and as an Associate Attorney at Powers & Hall, PC. and Hutchins and Wheeler. He served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Costa Rica. Mr. McEvoy holds a Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law, where he also served as editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine. He graduated with M.A. programs in Economics and International Affairs at Ohio State University and earned his B.A. degree from Vassar College. Mr. McEvoy received his bachelor degrees in Political Science and Spanish Literature from Vassar College. He studied abroad in Madrid, Spain and was a Kennedy Fellow in South Africa.
