Stephen Butcher — Managing Director of UK, Ireland and Middle-East Markets at SimCorp

Mr. Stephen Butcher has been Managing Director of UK, Ireland and Middle-East Markets at SimCorp A/S since January 16, 2017. Mr. Butcher has more than 30 years of experience from software vendors and data solution providers to the financial services industry, covering both sell side and buy side. He has served in several C-level positions and managed global businesses with presence across EMEA, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. Before a short period of managing his own business, he held a position as Managing Director EMEA at Charles River. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Metals of Brady plc since November 2, 2011 until 2013. Mr. Butcher served as the Chief Operating Officer at SunGard Front Arena AB from May 2002 to September 30, 2005. Mr. Butcher is responsible for Front's sales, customer service, partnerships and knowledge management functions. His primary focus is to drive Front's global expansion and build on the organisation's existing partner network. He has more than 20 years experience in financial and IT services. Prior to Front, Mr. Butcher served for Cognotec UK, where he served as Managing Director for Europe. Mr. Butcher has extensive experience in global and pan-European roles. He joined from Delta Vision, where he was principal consultant. Mr. Butcher served as Vice President for Europe the Middle East and Africa at Guidewire Software, Inc. since June 9, 2011. Prior to this, he served as Managing Director of the Solutions Division at Dealogic. He has also held senior roles at Sun Gard Trading Systems. He has represented Great Britain in numerous sailing events. Mr. Butcher graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He holds BSc in Marine Engineering from the University of Newcastle, UK.
