What's the office vibe like at Simple?
Top Employee Response
Casual and contemporary! All the typical offerings- snacks, sparkling water and cold brew on tap.
Chill, but excited. You dress comfortably and everyone is respectful. The nitro cold brew coffee, espresso machines (I've not been trained on them yet), or the La Croix keeps folks happy, and the snack containers keep everyone intrigued and entertained. (Label makers are fantastic.)
How's the morale at Simple?
The morale is low. Agents are paid below market rate and Simple eliminated raises across the entire department this year. The job is incredibly challenging, but in order to cut costs, they've implemented a temp to hire agency that's created high attrition and less skilled workers. This cycle of high turnover and an environment that doesn't value their employees has perpetuated the negativity and low morale across the department. The rest of the company celebrates accomplishments while customer support gets left behind in a silo of abuse from customers, lack of mobility in the role, and a once magical culture that's been reduced to that of your typical call center. It's been beyond disheartening to watch a company completely lose sight of the department that was once the heart of the product...the human beings talking to its' customers.
What interview questions does Simple ask?
Top Employee Response
Behavioral... technical... open-ended... specific. The Talent Acquisition team can/will talk you through that during the interview process. Be ready to talk about your experience, and pay attention to the different parts of the job description as you prepare.
